Foutloos - Verduaalpaal

On Friday, May 8, Verduaalpaal, the new single by ᖴOᑌTᒪOOᔕ, will be released.

Handy, such a marker post. When the sea waves are too wild or the beach becomes oppressively crowded, there is a foothold there, a point to return to. That is also the case in the new Foutloos single Verduaalpaal. In this track, the viola improvises over an increasingly wild stream of drums and bass, but that recognizable theme remains constant: a familiar point to return to when you think you are getting lost.

With Verduaalpaal, ᖴOᑌTᒪOOᔕ announces the start of their residency at De Grote Post (Ostend). Accompanying the single is a live session at flower studio and art gallery De Eglantier.

ᖴOᑌTᒪOOᔕ is an instrumental trio consisting of Esther Coorevits (Tourist LeMC, Nemø ensemble), Jonas Bruyneel (momoyo, Vincent Coomans), and Renaud Debruyne (Mirek Coutigny, Mergel). In Foutloos, atmospheric viola improvisations combine with funky bass lines and hip-hop grooves. Foutloos has played shows in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, including Jazz Cats of the Wild West. The single Speelkleeren was picked up by radio station Klara. In 2026, ᖴOᑌTᒪOOᔕ is artist in residence at De Grote Post.
